Real Madrid Club de Fútbol, better known as Real Madrid or simply Real, is a Spanish professional football club based in Madrid. It Won a numerous national and international titles. They received from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the honorary title of the greatest club of the 20th century.

Founded in 1902 by Julián Palacios and the brothers Juan and Carlos Padrós, the Madrid Football Club was given the title Real (meaning “royal” in Spanish) in 1920 by King Alfonso XIII and its name was hispanized, in 1941 to become Real Madrid Football Club.
In the mid-1950, Real Madrid rose to the top of European football under his president, Santiago Bernabéu. They won the first five editions of the European Champion Clubs' Cup. In 1980, the club once again had one of the best teams in Europe, nicknamed La Quinta del Buitre (“the gang of the vulture”), which notably won the UEFA Cup twice consecutively.
In the early 2000, Real Madrid revived its policy of recruiting the best players in the world, which earned its team the nickname “Galactics”. In 2022, the club has 35 Spanish championship titles, 14 victories in the Champions League and 5 crowns in the Club World Cup, three records in this area.
At home, the club usually plays all in white, which earned it the nickname los Blancos (“the whites”). The club has played since 1947 at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, located in the center of Madrid, which has a capacity of 84,744 seats since its last renovation in 2023.
Real Madrid has long-standing rivalries with some clubs, notably FC Barcelona (the confrontation between the two clubs, nicknamed El Clásico, is one of the most famous in football history), and with the other major club of the Spanish capital Atlético de Madrid in the Madrid derby.
Unlike most European clubs, Real Madrid is the collective property of its “socios” (its members), who have managed it since its creation. However, the club is the one that generates the most revenue in the world.
